Pink Slime

I'm sure you've heard all the talk about pink slime and how a large amount is in school lunches. Shape Magazine has written an article that I think people should read to educate themselves about what they are eating. I don't eat beef, but I know plenty of people that do. The fact that pink slime was once used only in dog food and cooking oil, but now with the trimmings being sprayed with ammonia so it's safe to eat, pink slime is added to most ground beef as a filler. That is disgusting to me.

Have An Open Heart

As I was sorting through pictures this morning I came across pictures of my seven-year-old granddaughter with girls that she met for the first time on a 2 day stay in Prescott. I was drawn to the smiles on their faces and the love in their eyes. They met, accepted each other, and acted as if they had been lifelong friends. Oh, how I had forgotten about the innocence of a child. The color of skin, the size of a body, the structure of a face does not matter.
