It's Raining!!!! I love the rain so I was extremely excited to wake up to it pouring this morning - if it were only a few degrees cooler, but I'm still enjoying it. Apparently Makenna feels the same... she stood outside this morning dancing, laughing and singing in it. I remember doing the same thing as a kid. For some reason the rain clears my mind and gets my creative juices flowing - So today I will do something creative! Tomorrow I'll share with you what I did because I have no idea at the moment what it's going to be. I'm not sure if I shared with you that songs always pop in my head when I speak (I'm sure it's a disorder) so here's what I'm singing now. Happy Friday... Peace, Love & Hugs! Johnny Nash I can see clearly now, the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way.
I always look forward to my Fridays - I don't cook on Fridays and I barely clean the house - it's my be lazy day. This evening we're taking the twins out for their birthday - love the one on one dinners because we get to catch up on what's happening in their world.                                                                                                                                                                                   I know being a teen in 2012 is extremely different from being a teen in the 70's. I'm part of an anti - bull...
I shared with you how I had my son leave my home because he's not in a good place right now.  Yesterday he was sitting outside my home when I pulled up.  I asked him why he was here - Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful he's okay but I can't be an enabler.                                                                               He had a couple of reasons why he popped in, but I know the real one is that he thought no one would be home and he was hoping he could get in to eat, crash, and find something to sell at a pawn shop. As horrible as that sounds it's the reality of how a drug addict operates.                                                     ...

National Best Friend Day

It's National Best Friends Day!  I think you're fortunate if you have at least one good friend in your life -I'm happy to say that I do. I think the older we become our friendships are a lot different - most of us are more cautious of the people that we have in our life. For example, I know a lot of people and communicate with many of them on a daily basis, but only a few (2) know what's happening in my world. They know the ups and downs and the good and bad of my life - I'm blessed to have them as my friend. I was thinking back when I was young and how desperate everyone seemed to want friends. Of course, most of them wanted to be a part of the popular group and wear the other half of the best friends necklace. But, you grow up and realize that the popular group really weren't that popular, and that you need genuine and loyal people in your life. So cheers to my best friends! ( you know who you are) May we go through our golden years with continued lau...

Lil' Miss Pup

This little cutie ended up spending the night last - apparently she has forgotten where she lives. My daughter, Tiffanie was on her way to my house yesterday when she saw this pup running in the street. She stopped, opened her car door, and the pup jumped in. The kids love her, my Pitt Bull loves her, but my Pekingese hates her and would like her out of here ASAP! Miss Pup and I walked the neighborhood last night in search of her family. We actually ended up walking with another dog walker that thought she was Abby - we walked to Abby's house, but Abby was in her backyard. So Miss Pup stayed the night in a make shift bed, (laundry basket with a satin pillow) but it's time for her to move on. I just can't add her to my to do list... these are my golden years, I'm suppose to be free, traveling the world without kids and puppies. If anyone knows who she is and where she lives, please send me a message. Happy Friday!
I'm beyond exhausted this morning and have a crap load of things to accomplish before my 2 year old granddaughter comes at 7:30 - my life pretty much ends after that. I have a photo shoot at my house today with Makenna (2 year old) which I already know is gong to be a challenge. Also, I'm working like a crazy woman on The Shutter Release Project. www.theshutterrelease.com  You know all the work involved in putting on an event. And as for the rest of my day, it will consist of me living up to my Domestic Diva duties. So you remember last week I went to a class reunion that wasn't mine but my cover was blown before I got inside - fun time!  Okay, so Saturday I'm going to bartend at a wedding reception. This wouldn't be a big deal, but I've never bartended in my life and I really don't have a steady hand, so I'll let you know how this one goes. Have a fabulous Friday!

National I am in Control Day

March 30 is … I Am In Control Day                     “You become what you believe.” – Oprah Winfrey Happy Friday!

Dear Monday

What is it about Friday? I'm not opposed to Mondays, but I have to admit that I always look forward to my Fridays. I don't cook on Fridays, and now that I don't work outside of the home, I don't do much around the house either. I know, it makes absolutely no sense, but it is what it is. Here's something else you're going to find crazy...I use to listen to this song on Fridays.  I'm pretty sure I need therapy...Happy Monday!

Old Stuff Day

March 2 is Old Stuff Day according to the list of National Days. It just happens to be the day that I'm going through all the closets in my house and getting rid of clothes and shoes. It's our community yard sale tomorrow so I figured it's a good time to purge. I owned a clothing store and did styling for photographers, so I have shoes and clothes that are no use to me anymore  - keeping my vintage dresses, but the rest is going for $1 - shoes $2. I'm just sick of stuff. Time to get it all hung up and on the racks so I can roll it out in the morning. Here's a couple of quotes for your Friday... Enjoy! Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder. Let the challenges make you strong.  -Unknown  Expect to succeed even before you start. All winners, no matter what their game, start with the expectations that they are going to succeed. Winners say, "I want to do this and I CAN do this", not "I wou...
