My New Journey

I had to look at the date of my last blog, which was Aug. 2016 to remember the last time I took a few minutes of my time to sit and share my thoughts. Five months is a long time and quite a few changes have occurred for me. The most recent is finding out that I would no longer be watching three of my grandchildren. (I have 11) I have been watching this set consistently for the past seven years - partially because my son was in active addiction during those years. I found out through the slip of the tongue from my seven year old granddaughter that they were opting out of continuing to bring them to me. I felt a mixture of emotions, but anger was my initial feeling and the most difficult for me to get past because I felt that I deserved more. I deserved a conversation, and I deserved gratitude; both of which I didn't receive. I ended up initiating the conversation because in order for me to have peace I have to confront situations that don't settle well in my soul. I expresse...
Good Morning! I'm going on a little holiday so I wanted to leave this with you for your Saturday. It's kind of strange having people living in your house while you're gone, but at least one is a relative. As soon as I get to an area with wifi I will be blogging! Happy Saturday!!!
Last night I couldn't fall asleep - book writing ideas and blog stories danced in my head as I lay in bed wide awake. I tried talking myself into getting out of bed to write or at least get up to jot down what I was thinking; but I didn't and this morning I have nada in my head, so I'll share my weekend with you. I worked around the house this weekend still trying to fit in my antiques from the store. For some reason it all looked really cute in the boutique, but in my house I keep thinking it looks like what the waiting room  of a brothel would like(if they have a waiting room) that a 95 year old woman runs. Needless to say I have a lot of work to do still. Have the best Monday!

It's Friday!

I'm happy it's Friday - anyone with me?                                                                                             Had a week of trying to get rid of unneeded and unused items, getting the pup groomed, looking at old photos, (so much for organizing) working on the venue for the next Shutter Release Project, working on my stuff for my business, and Makenna! The girls come home from camp today and from the pictures that the camp posted it looks like they had fun. Can't wait to see them and hear all of the camp stories. I just found out yesterday that my grandson started a food blog on Instagram  - I love it! He takes photos of all his meals and has a one liner comment along with rating the meal. I'm going to have to get an ...

Court Day

Late getting to my blog because I went to court to sit on the bench this morning. I have to say I've heard better excuses from my kids. I don't know where these people come up with this stuff. Such as having arthritis in their leg so they couldn't control the speed of the car because their leg wasn't working. Can't pay the ticket because I have brain damage from a head injury, and the number 1 best excuse for me was, the reason I drove past the flashing lights and barricades is because I don't speak English. I don't understand getting out of bed for this... just pay the damn ticket and let everyone go on with their life. Hope you're having a happy Friday...Go shopping for Mom and make it an awesome day!
