It's Raining!!!! I love the rain so I was extremely excited to wake up to it pouring this morning - if it were only a few degrees cooler, but I'm still enjoying it. Apparently Makenna feels the same... she stood outside this morning dancing, laughing and singing in it. I remember doing the same thing as a kid. For some reason the rain clears my mind and gets my creative juices flowing - So today I will do something creative! Tomorrow I'll share with you what I did because I have no idea at the moment what it's going to be. I'm not sure if I shared with you that songs always pop in my head when I speak (I'm sure it's a disorder) so here's what I'm singing now. Happy Friday... Peace, Love & Hugs! Johnny Nash I can see clearly now, the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way.

Eric Winfield and his Dream

I love creative people, I love people that have a dream, I love people that work to make their vision become a reality. That is why I was quick to say yes and jump on board to help my friend Eric Winfield with The Shutter Release Project.  www.theshutterrelease.com Eric actually shared his vision with several friends - some said yes they would help but haven't put any time or effort in this project. I am behind Eric on this project 120%, and I will fight and work hard to make his dream come true. I have given merchandise and my time for several years to help many people when I was asked. Eric has done the same with his time and his photography. Just maybe that's where we went wrong, thinking that people actually understand what reciprocation / paying forward is. I have always lived my...

Too Much Self Esteem

Last night I was watching Modern Family.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Modern_Family_episodes The episode had a bit about Manny (pre-teen son) who created a center piece that was ridiculous and ugly, but his mother showered him with praise and compliments on how beautiful it was, how creative he is, and how he's so good at everything. Ed O'Neill (plays the step father) asked why she makes him believe that everything he does is wonderful. He went on to say that now days kids get a badge if they cross the street. I thought isn't that the truth. The kids now are praised for everything and anything they do - they're told that they can do anything and are the best at everything. Of course you can do anything, but it requires work and you just might not be that good at it. Also, you might be the best today at whatever your forte is, but tomorrow there might be someone that's going to kick your ass at it. That's reality, that's life. Don't get me wrong...
