Old Murraytalk Video

I was going through old videos today . Thought I would share this one with my daughter and good friend Michael. Good times!

When You Believe...

Thought I would post this song When You Believe (Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston) since there's a  few people that I know personally that are struggling with some personal issues. Music has always been my friend in good times and bad. This particular song is a song of power and hope. Believe in yourself and believe in miracles...just believe. Peace, love & hugs!
It's Raining!!!! I love the rain so I was extremely excited to wake up to it pouring this morning - if it were only a few degrees cooler, but I'm still enjoying it. Apparently Makenna feels the same... she stood outside this morning dancing, laughing and singing in it. I remember doing the same thing as a kid. For some reason the rain clears my mind and gets my creative juices flowing - So today I will do something creative! Tomorrow I'll share with you what I did because I have no idea at the moment what it's going to be. I'm not sure if I shared with you that songs always pop in my head when I speak (I'm sure it's a disorder) so here's what I'm singing now. Happy Friday... Peace, Love & Hugs! Johnny Nash I can see clearly now, the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way.

The Shutter Release Project

Eric Winfield and I are working on the next Shutter Release Project with a target date of October 2012. We will be showcasing Fashion Photographers and hosting a Fashion Show with several designers. If Fashion is your forte, you need to jump on board with our next showcase. We had problems with our videographer and photographer so we haven't been able to share as much as we had anticipated from our first showcase, but take a look at our youtube video for a glimpse of a great event. Love your Friday!

Yvette Adams

Last night I went with my husband, daughter and granddaughter to listen to Yvette Adams at First Fridays. http://artlinkphoenix.com/first-fridays/ Yvette has this soulful voice that makes it apparent she's singing from her heart and soul. I could sit and listen to her for hours. She brings a smile to my face and takes me to a happy place with her music. She's a 22 year old singer/songwriter living in Arizona, Yvette Adams is currently unsigned and making her own way in the music world. I'm working on convincing her to audition for The Voice - the world needs to hear her sing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TICYZTc87pY Yvette will be performing June 23rd at Big Fish in Tempe.  https://tickets.aftonshows.com/YvetteAdams Purchase a few tickets and support our local talent - I can guarantee you're going to fall in love with her. My guess is Blake Shelton would probably grab her on the Voice. Listen to Yvette on youtube and tell me who you think. Happy Saturday...

Memorial Day Tribute Video

It's Only Days Away

I feel like I've been writing, talking, living and dreaming The Shutter Release Project forever, and now I'm looking at weeks away before it becomes a reality. If someone were to ask me today what was the most exciting thing about working on The Shutter Release Project, I would have to say all the wonderful people I've met. I know that sounds so cliche', but it's true! To stand in a room with a group of creative people is an amazing feeling - positive energy is just bouncing off the walls. Each person has a great story of how photography became not only their dream, but their life and their passion. I love that their willing to share their love with the world to move forward in their craft. Also, I'm excited that Yvette Adams will be performing that evening. I was at First Friday in April and was drawn to a voice that I could hear in the distance. As I walked towards the voice I saw a young girl playing the keyboard and singing - I loved it! I grabbed her fl...

National Chicken Dance Day!

Get Your Chicken Dance On! It's National Chicken Dance and Buttermilk Biscuit Day! After watching that video I think I'll just eat chicken and biscuits... Happy Monday!

Thirty five years ago I was put in a taxi cab - the driver was given instructions to take me to St. Josephs Hospital. Tiffanie I gave birth that morning to my first child, my daughter...Happy Birthday Tiffanie! I was 18 years old, unmarried and living with my parents. The father of my child (my husband of 35 years) was also living at home with his parents. We were two kids that were oddly thrown together, but would stay together forever. He grew up in the foothills with the country club and I grew up in a middle class neighborhood. He told his mother that he would marry a black girl before he met me. As I've said numerous times before, I don't believe in coincidences. I look at young parents today and I can't stand how the majority of them are self absorbed and disconnected from their child. If you're not ready to give your all into raising a child, DON'T HAVE SEX! There wasn't sex education classes when I was in school, and our parents didn't si...

Jealousy

I just found out that a certain person that has tried before to get my son in trouble and slander his name is now saying that he really isn't in California - he's in jail in Tempe for stealing a car. WRONG! I'm going to say my source is credible since she has a vested interest in Michael. As for the person spreading the rumors - work on fixing your own life instead of being jealous of someone that is. Jealousy is such an evil thing...I'm praying for you. And as for the rest of you little losers, I don't want to hear from you telling me what an awful person I am. REMINDER: I'm not the one on Drugs!  Here's to you Michael - keep doing what you're doing. I love you and I'm extremely proud of you!

Taking You Back..

What About Your Friends Happy Friday...taking you back to one of my faves.TLC!

Tupac

How many of you watched this? I watched it yesterday after Nick Cannon shared...Have to admit I got goosebumps at first. Too real! If you're sensitive to language Don't watch.
I just love Glee!

Scrabble and Peach Cobbler

Today is National Peach Cobbler Day and Scrabble Day. I love peach cobbler! It was always served with our Sunday dinner when I was growing up. My father always used canned peaches in his. I did the same for years until I started using Paula Deen's recipe with fresh peaches. It's easy and delicious! As for Scrabble, I have only played the children's version so I have little knowledge of the game. Since my family doesn't play games well I'm not even going to suggest a game of scrabble in honor of the day. If you're interested in the history of scrabble here you go.  http://www.scrabble-assoc.com/info/history.html Happy Friday... have a scrabble game night with some homemade peach cobbler. Don't forget the wine!

What's Quiet

I sat down at my computer last night to blog since I couldn't handle watching The Voice or The The Housewives of Atlanta. I love The Voice but this season isn't doing it for me, and I've been a Housewives fan since creation, but the Housewives of Atlanta was off my list since it started up again. It only took a few minutes of listening and looking at those caddy judgemental grown ass women acting like their still in high school to reaffirm why I had stopped watching . The only one that is tolerable is Kim Zolciak, and honestly, I don't know how she does it - they are some crazy black women.                               Anyway, I figured my 2 year old granddaughter is gone, everyone is in different areas of my house, it's nice and quiet so I can actually think - Wrong! First I have my 12 year old granddaughter plop on the exercise ball beside me playing with ice and her straw in a plastic cup while telling me...

The Murray Talk

The Murray Talk

Dear Monday

What is it about Friday? I'm not opposed to Mondays, but I have to admit that I always look forward to my Fridays. I don't cook on Fridays, and now that I don't work outside of the home, I don't do much around the house either. I know, it makes absolutely no sense, but it is what it is. Here's something else you're going to find crazy...I use to listen to this song on Fridays.  I'm pretty sure I need therapy...Happy Monday!
