I'm meeting an old friend of mine this morning to check out a product that her son created. I met Donya in 1989 at a church in Scottsdale. I see this tall beautiful woman waving at me through the crowd of people at the end of the service, so I waited to see what she wanted. She thought I was a  politician - I told her no, I just moved to Phoenix and I'm employed.                                                               We exchanged numbers on that Sunday and I had an interview by Monday and was working by the end of the week. She's also the one that got me involved in the industry doing commercial and extra work. She's always been my work angel. She tried talking me into doing Mrs. Black Arizona, but that's where I drew the line. She can keep that title. Donya has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual and Dram...

Need Sleep!

Remember I had the allergic reaction to red wine on Sunday? I tried drinking a glass on Monday and had another reaction, so I decided to go a week without before I try again. But, the reason I became a one a day glass of red wine drinker is because I don't sleep well. My glass of wine after dinner relaxed me just enough to allow me to get 6 hours of sleep. I can never shut down at night. If you only knew how many blogs I wrote in my mind, re-decorated the house, worked on a new business venture along with working on The Shutter Release Event. I thought about  Easter, the weekend, a new car, my mother, and on and on it goes. I'm not sure what time I finally fell asleep, but I woke up with a headache, and now my mind is all over the board. I need my wine! So to touch on a few of the things that were on mind last night. For one, I didn't realize this weekend is Easter so I have nothing planned, which means we will not be doing anything special. As for my house, I am ready ...

Heaven or Hell

In church today our pastor spoke about Heaven and Hell. He stated that while on earth, we create our Heaven and Hell. I believe that -  Hell is a pain we bring to ourselves, and Heaven is an expansion of greater love. We have control of what we want our life to be. I know people that are constantly complaining and are negative in every aspect of their life. All that does is bring depression, misery and pain - Hell. He went on to say that praying, living and giving plays a big part in our Heaven and Hell. I also agree with that. I pray every day - some days it's all day... praying is important to me. It gives me hope, strength and faith... it empowers me. Living is loving, and loving is life. If you miss love... you miss life. And as for giving, you need to give to receive. I'm not saying it has to be monetary giving. It can be giving of your time, giving someone hope, giving a stranger a smile... just give. This quote reminded me of today's message. This Is Your LIFE  -...

Right and Wrong

When I came across this quote I thought this needs to be hung in every school, church, and office space. It needs to be on billboards for the world to see, read, and live by.                                                                                     I have always been about right and wrong - it's not always the popular way to go, but I can sleep at night so it works for me. As a result, I've had some people walk out of my life, but I have to stand by what I believe is right and wrong in my soul. So, for all you political people out there that need to take a stand on something, and voice your opinion. How about Wrong is Wrong and Right is Right.

Stop Complaining

Sunday at church my pastor said something that I find myself still thinking about today. He said. "We are the God of our stories." I love that statement. It actually reminded me of a quote that I always loved stating that it's never to late to have the childhood you wanted. We often spend so much time dwelling on all of the bad things that have happened to us, all the things we wish we had done and all the negatives in our life, that we get stuck. We forget or take for granted all of the positive and good things in our life. We need to focus on the good things in our lives, and the good in ourselves.                                                                 He went on to say that many things we'll understand about life, and many things we won't understand about life. But, we need to quit complaining about every litt...
