Showing posts with the label Heaven
I went to bed thinking of my husband with his father.                                                                                 This morning when we talked he said, "This is tough, but you know." It is tough, but the reward of being by a loved one's side before they go on their journey to Heaven is a beautiful thing. I know his experience is harder because his father is in pain, but God gives us the strength to do hard things. I still have the memory of my sisters and I by my mother's bed feeding her ice chips, holding her hand, talking to her and praying for her. For me, that time allowed me to have real moments with my sister's and my mother. Tom has been sitting by his side talking to him and holding his hand as he responds with moaning and grunting. I know how frustrating ...

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! My Mom Wishing Everyone a Happy Mother's Day, including all the mom's in Heaven.(like my mother)                 What will I be doing on this special day? Probably the same as most days since I'm not good at sleeping in, and I never really want breakfast until around noon. So breakfast in bed is out of the question for the simple fact that I'll be out of bed long before I want food. And I'm just not good at relaxing, I love being busy!                                                                                    So do whatever brings a smile to your face and enjoy your special day!   "Mothers are the people who love us for no good reason. And those of us who are mothers know it's the most exquisit...

Need Sleep!

Remember I had the allergic reaction to red wine on Sunday? I tried drinking a glass on Monday and had another reaction, so I decided to go a week without before I try again. But, the reason I became a one a day glass of red wine drinker is because I don't sleep well. My glass of wine after dinner relaxed me just enough to allow me to get 6 hours of sleep. I can never shut down at night. If you only knew how many blogs I wrote in my mind, re-decorated the house, worked on a new business venture along with working on The Shutter Release Event. I thought about  Easter, the weekend, a new car, my mother, and on and on it goes. I'm not sure what time I finally fell asleep, but I woke up with a headache, and now my mind is all over the board. I need my wine! So to touch on a few of the things that were on mind last night. For one, I didn't realize this weekend is Easter so I have nothing planned, which means we will not be doing anything special. As for my house, I am ready ...

Take Time To Enjoy The Coffee

It's Monday morning and I'm just sitting enjoying my coffee. Although I drink coffee daily, I don't always have the pleasure of sitting, drinking it slowly, savoring the taste and seizing the moment. Most days it me multi - tasking with a cup in my hand, while minutes later trying to remember where I left it. Sometimes hours go by before I find it, and other times it's days before I see it again. For example, I have found it on the washing machine, in the pantry by the cereal, in my closet, by the bag of dog food, in the refrigerator, on the book shelf, by the toy basket... you get the picture. So today I'm taking a few minutes to enjoy the coffee... kind of like taking time to smell the roses. Happy Monday Everyone! "Coffee tastes like you’ve just taken one step into heaven."

Heaven or Hell

In church today our pastor spoke about Heaven and Hell. He stated that while on earth, we create our Heaven and Hell. I believe that -  Hell is a pain we bring to ourselves, and Heaven is an expansion of greater love. We have control of what we want our life to be. I know people that are constantly complaining and are negative in every aspect of their life. All that does is bring depression, misery and pain - Hell. He went on to say that praying, living and giving plays a big part in our Heaven and Hell. I also agree with that. I pray every day - some days it's all day... praying is important to me. It gives me hope, strength and faith... it empowers me. Living is loving, and loving is life. If you miss love... you miss life. And as for giving, you need to give to receive. I'm not saying it has to be monetary giving. It can be giving of your time, giving someone hope, giving a stranger a smile... just give. This quote reminded me of today's message. This Is Your LIFE  -...
